Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Team Lead for our Android app to own core product work end-to-end. This is a hands-on role where you will write code, review code, and own features from design through release in a fast-paced distributed team.

You will maintain reliability metrics, unblock teammates, and ensure the team’s output is the best version across multiple platforms. This is remote work with a high-impact engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Own major features end-to-end, from design through release.
• Maintain and improve reliability metrics for key features.
• Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback.
• Unblock the team: diagnose bottlenecks and fix blockers.
• Align implementations so the team uses the best version.
• Keep shared components tested and maintainable for future work.
• Lead evolution of team processes and methods.
• Reduce manual steps to a reliable release process.
• Address recurring problems by root-cause analysis.
• Push for automated checks to shift verification left.
