Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our on-site, high-volume summer camp operations. You will oversee prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and enforce allergen safety protocols to ensure top quality meals for campers.

The position requires 2+ years in kitchen leadership, ServSafe Allergens certification, and willingness to live on-site in a rustic setting while maintaining a demanding 6-day/70-hour week schedule.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, cooking, able to navigate I-Pad, versatile with ingredients, able to identify all Big 9 Allergens, and sharp problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in hot/cold kitchen settings, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ready to live on-site in a rustic setting, work a demanding minimum 6-day/70-hour week, and thrive under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Manage operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols and maintain top Health Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as a liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
