West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift in Perryville, MO. You will lead a team of technicians to deliver precise maintenance work on aircraft and systems, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time performance.

Ideal candidates have an A&P license, strong leadership, and extensive aviation maintenance experience. The role requires hands-on mechanical work, mentorship, and coordination with customers and management.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent and Airframe and Powerplant License required.
• Valid driver’s license for airline travel and/or passport ideal, but not mandatory.
• Aircraft-specific factory training is preferred.
• 8+ years in aviation maintenance preferred.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities to guide small teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the team to complete the necessary jobs/tasks with sound judgement.
• Implement turnover of work to the next shift.
• Reduce aircraft turn time within your area of responsibility.
• Train and mentor technicians assigned to your projects.
• Supervise team members in daily workload.
• Lead multiple projects and ensure schedule and quality.
• Perform general mechanical work on aircraft and related systems.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate systems on the aircraft.
• Inspect aircraft and components as designated.
• Move aircraft, perform runs and taxiing as required.
• Maintain shop facilities and tooling to support operations.
• Coordinate with customers in project management, pricing and support roles.
• Communicate in English.
• Other duties as assigned.
