West Star Aviation is hiring a Challenger Aircraft Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift (1100 start) in Perryville, MO. This full-time, on-site role supports maintenance, repair, and overhaul of civilian aircraft, performing mechanical tasks, troubleshooting systems, and heavy lift duties with a team of skilled professionals.

The position requires a high school diploma and an Airframe/Powerplant license (Airframe preferred) with 0–6+ years of aviation maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe license preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in aviation maintenance, avionics, or similar.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve aircraft system issues.
• De-fueling aircraft.
• Engine removal and installation.
• Operate ground support equipment.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components.
• Assist in performance runs and taxiing.
• Maintain shop facilities, equipment, and tooling.
• Use computers to access electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Communicate clearly in English.
