Job summary

West Star Aviation seeks a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift in Grand Junction, CO. You will lead a team of technicians, supervise daily tasks, and ensure high-quality workmanship while complying with FAA guidelines.

A&P license and 8+ years in aviation maintenance are required, with 4+ years on program-specific airframes. You will train staff, manage multiple projects, and coordinate with customers and supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Airframe and Powerplant license required.
• 8+ years of aviation maintenance experience preferred.
• 4+ years in program specific airframes.
• Ability to lead small teams and work with multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technicians to deliver high‑quality results on schedule.
• Train and mentor technicians assigned to projects.
• Supervise daily workload and ensure safety and FAA compliance.
• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and systems.
• Coordinate project flow and communicate with customers and management.
• Direct the work on multiple projects and ensure timely completion.
