Job summary

Embraer in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Lead A&P Technician to supervise production and ensure safe, compliant maintenance of aircraft components.

You will direct daily activities, provide training, access manuals and data, and manage workmanship records, while upholding FAA and OEM procedures.

This role requires FAA certs, A&P license, and a track record in heavy maintenance and leadership.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• An Associate Degree or Technical Certification is common at this level.
• FAA required within certain Technical Areas.
• Journeyman Technician role with intermediate skills.
• A & P License.
• Airframe and Powerplant certificates required.
• FCC General Operator's License a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on aircraft systems to prevent failures.
• Plan, direct and coordinate activities to minimize delays and increase production and efficiency.
• Provide training and assist subordinates in procedures and practices.
• Provide access to overhaul manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives and other required technical data.
• Maintain all equipment and tools in serviceable condition.
• Ensure work records are properly executed by the responsible person.
• Handle parts during repair process and preserve units during processing.
• Initiate requisitions for stock and materials as required.
• Lead Technician certified in accordance with FAR Part 65.
• In absence, delegate duties to qualified personnel as necessary.
