Job summary

Embraer in Melbourne, FL seeks an experienced technician for production assembly of electronic and mechanical assemblies. You will analyze processes, guide technical support, help new operators, and assist in process improvement.

Responsibilities include following drawings, using jigs/tools, conducting inspections, testing prototypes, and ensuring airworthiness documentation per FAA/repair manuals. Aviation experience and A&P credentials are valued.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• A&P certification and mechanical/electrical experience a plus.
• Structures experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform various production assembly tasks on electronic and mechanical assemblies.
• Follow diagrams/drawings; lay out parts; use hand/power tools and jigs.
• Conduct continuity checks on in-process and completed work.
• May inspect quality to specifications.
• Disassemble/modify/rework/test prototype assemblies per specs.
• Follow FAA-approved procedures and OEM data.
• Position/align subassemblies using fixtures and blueprint references.
• Inspect finished work for rework needs and tolerances.
• Perform serviceability tests with specified equipment.
• Complete work packaging documentation per FAA/repair manual.
• Submit work for Quality Assurance certification of airworthiness.
