Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician for the Perryville, MO facility. You will head a team of technicians, guiding repair tasks, troubleshooting, and ensuring the highest quality workmanship and regulatory compliance.

Strong problem solving and project coordination are essential. The role requires an airframe and powerplant license with 8+ years in aviation maintenance and 4+ years on program-specific airframes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and Airframe & Powerplant License required.
• 8+ years in aviation maintenance preferred.
• 4+ years in program-specific airframes.
• Ability to lead small teams and supervise technicians.
• Work in accordance with FAA regulations and company safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to complete jobs with good judgement, directing day-to-day tasks.
• Implement a strong turnover of work to the next shift.
• Look for opportunities to reduce turn time of aircraft.
• Train/mentor technicians assigned to your projects.
• Supervise team members in daily workload and project flow.
• Perform general mechanical functions on aircraft and related systems.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate aircraft systems when designated.
• Ensure compliance with FAA paperwork and inspections.
