Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Lead Aircraft Paint Technician for the 2nd shift at our Perryville, MO location. The role includes supervising a production crew, coordinating with departments, and ensuring paint quality and safety standards are met in a fast-paced hangar environment.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of aircraft painting experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lead small teams with minimal supervision while adhering to FAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience painting aircraft, autobody, RV, or marine.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license for airline travel and/or passport ideal.
• Exclusive knowledge in all areas of the job.
• Ability to lead small work groups with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production crew to meet scheduling demands.
• Coordinate schedules with other departments.
• Train team members to ensure quality and safety standards.
• Assist in final inspection of aircraft.
• Maintain clean and orderly paint shop.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
