Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Gulfstream Team Lead Aircraft Maintenance for the 2nd shift in Chattanooga, TN. The role centers on supervising a team of technicians, directing project flow, and maintaining FAA compliance on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

The position requires extensive engine and aircraft systems knowledge, leadership experience, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining strong customer contact and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, and Airframe and Powerplant License are required.
• Aircraft specific factory training is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of aviation maintenance and services technicians, mentor and guide the team, and participate in hiring and performance feedback.
• Provide daily oversight of technicians, manage work schedules, and ensure aircraft deliveries.
• Ensure adherence to aviation regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain high quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate training programs to build team skills and improve productivity.
• Oversee resources and project flow, ensuring clear communication with customers and program managers.
• Maintain accurate records of work orders, FAA paperwork, and billing items.
