Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor in San Diego to lead day-to-day maintenance on aircraft, support equipment, and tools. You will supervise a maintenance team, plan work, and ensure safety and efficiency across all tasks, including complex maintenance and engineering work orders.

The role requires FAA A&P certification, 5+ years of experience, and strong leadership. Travel to support customer missions is possible; the position offers growth and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid FAA Mechanic certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings.
• Five or more years of experience in an aircraft maintenance environment.
• Ability to plan and schedule maintenance work requirements and direct skilled technicians.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of aircraft maintenance and ensure work is scheduled and performed safely and efficiently.
• Supervise maintenance staff, review performance, address issues, assign work, and set priorities.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, servicing, launch and recovery, corrosion control, inspections, and complex maintenance as required.
• Provide guidance on technical orders, checklists, and hazardous materials.
• Ensure material availability and manage parts and supply inventories.
• Travel to support customer missions as needed.
