Job summary

Kin is seeking a Principal, Pricing Intelligence to lead how AI drives home pricing in challenging markets. You will shape pricing and risk decisions, implement scalable AI-powered tools, and work across actuarial, underwriting, product, and data engineering teams.

This role reports to senior leadership and aims to expand AI's footprint across the business. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in P&C actuarial pricing, strong Python/SQL skills, and experience designing auditable AI systems for

Qualifications

• FCAS depth in P&C actuarial pricing and 10+ years in primary insurance, homeowners experience preferred.
• Fluency in Python and SQL; experience with cloud data platforms like Databricks or Snowflake.
• Experience leading discovery with internal users: map workflows, identify costly steps, validate solutions before scaling.
• Experience designing AI systems for regulated environments with human-in-the-loop review, auditing, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Own AI-enabled pricing strategy end to end from opportunity to production.
• Build AI pricing infrastructure: transcription of rate filings, validation, quote tracing, re-rating, provenance.
• Embed AI into workflows: rate reviews, segmentation, filings, portfolio monitoring; replace manual processes.
• Translate signals into pricing actions on rate adequacy, risk appetite, eligibility, growth, remediation.
• Scout and scale AI applications beyond pricing across underwriting, product, operations.
• Deliver clear analyses and recommendations to C-suite: CIO, CAO, CEO.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with actuarial, underwriting, product, and data engineering.
