Job summary

MMS Group is seeking an experienced Property Manager for a 412-unit affordable housing property in Jersey City, NJ. You will oversee daily operations, rent collection, and resident relations while coordinating with maintenance and the regional office to manage budgets and compliance.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in residential management, 2+ years in affordable housing, and familiarity with LIHTC and Section 8 programs. RealPage OneSite and Microsoft Office skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of residential multifamily property or real estate management experience as a Property Manager
• Minimum 2 years of affordable housing experience
• Experience with project-based Section 8, LIHTC, and other affordable housing programs
• Experience with Section 8 voucher submission and tax-credit processes

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily property operations.
• Collect rent and other fees from residents.
• Address resident concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Coordinate maintenance with the team for affordable housing standards.
• Prepare and follow operating budgets with regional/corporate input.
• Handle all accounting functions including invoices and resident accounts.
• Hire, train, and supervise site staff.
• Conduct regular property inspections to maintain standards.
• Complete income verification for government regulations.
