Job summary

MMS Group is seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee an affordable housing 108-unit property in Columbia, MD. This role focuses on operational and financial success, staff leadership, and ensuring compliance with program requirements.

You will manage property operations, rent collection, resident relations, and maintenance coordination while working with regional management to follow budgets and ensure high performance. Experience in LIHTC and Section 8 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of residential multifamily property management experience.
• Minimum two years of affordable housing experience.
• LIHTC certification preferred.
• Experience with Section 8 voucher submission and tax-credit programs.
• RealPage OneSite or similar property management software experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily property operations.
• Collect rent and other property fees.
• Address resident concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Coordinate maintenance with the maintenance team for preventive upkeep and timely repairs.
• Assist in budgeting and adhere to operating budgets; plan capital improvements.
• Manage accounting functions including invoices, evictions, and resident charges.
• Hire, train, and supervise site staff.
• Conduct regular property inspections to maintain standards.
• Complete income verification to ensure eligibility with government regulations.
• Perform other duties as outlined in the job description.
