Job summary

MMS Group is seeking an experienced Property Manager for a 74-unit affordable housing property in New York, NY. The role oversees daily operations, rent collection, staff supervision, and compliance with government programs.

The candidate will manage budgets, accounting, and property inspections to ensure high-quality living environments. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in residential multifamily management, at least 2 years in affordable housing, and a background with Section 8/tax-credit

Qualifications

• Three+ years of residential multifamily property management or real estate management experience.
• Minimum two years of affordable housing experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the property.
• Collect rent and other property fees from residents.
• Address resident concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Partner with maintenance to preserve affordable housing through preventive maintenance and timely repairs.
• Prepare and follow an operating budget, plan for capital improvements, repairs, contracts, negotiations.
• Handle all accounting functions including invoices, evictions, and resident accounts.
