Job summary

National Church Residences seeks a Project Leader, Originations to lead affordable housing opportunities within the assigned region. You will manage tax credit and loan applications, oversee underwriting, negotiate purchases, secure financing, and coordinate third-party consultants to drive closings.

You will build relationships with state agencies, developers and lenders while ensuring regulatory compliance and timely project milestones across multiple developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4 years related experience in multifamily and/or affordable housing real estate, preferably with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit experience.
• Excellent communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to manage multiple affordable housing projects across development stages.

Responsibilities

• Identify, pursue and submit tax credit, bond, subordinate and lender applications to develop affordable housing.
• Submit multiple tax credit applications each year and close several each year.
• Lead zoning and entitlement processes for housing developments.
• Review construction/rehab plans with Construction Management and third-party architects.
• Coordinate internal resources to ensure timely closing and 8609 issuance.
• Travel up to 25% to meet partners and sites.
