Job summary

Grow America is seeking a Senior Director for Acquisitions, Underwriting and Closing to lead national affordable housing investments. You will own end-to-end processes from origination, underwriting, to closing, guiding a team of tax credit experts and coordinating with investors and partners to expand a mission-driven portfolio.

The role demands 10+ years in LIHTC origination/underwriting, strong leadership, and deep CRA knowledge to influence investment strategy and ensure compliant,

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading LIHTC investment professionals
• 10+ years origination/underwriting of LIHTC investments
• Experience with tax credit investors or fund syndicators
• Knowledge of the Community Reinvestment Act

Responsibilities

• Originate LIHTC and historic rehabilitation tax credit equity investments nationwide
• Underwrite investments from initial screening to closing
• Prepare detailed financial models for affordable housing investments
• Evaluate sponsor and project development team experience and capacity
• Manage risk and ensure consistency in underwriting, closing, and documentation
• Coordinate with Investment Committee on new opportunities and maintain partner relationships
• Assist with business development and manage data relating to prospective clients
• Oversee pipeline reviews and fund opportunities with Investor Relations team
• Support fund managers during construction compliance periods
