Job summary

National Church Residences is seeking a Project Leader, Originations in Columbus, OH, with responsibility for sourcing, underwriting, and closing affordable housing deals. The role includes managing LIHTC and other funding applications, coordinating consultants, and coordinating internal resources for successful closings.

Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 4+ years in multifamily/affordable housing, strong financial modeling and negotiation skills, and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 4 years in multifamily or affordable housing real estate.
• Experience with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; English fluency required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue tax credit, bond, and lender applications for affordable housing.
• Prepare preliminary financial underwriting for new constructions or acquisitions.
• Lead zoning and entitlement processes and coordinate consultants.
• Manage third-party consultants and reports to ensure timely closings.
• Represent the organization with city, county, and state staff.
