Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead multidisciplinary teams in developing and supporting complex test solutions. You will drive project inception through deployment, coordinating systems, mechanical, electrical, and software engineers with a focus on quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and expertise in project management within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in STEM and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years of experience
• 3+ years experience in at least one of the following engineering disciplines: systems, mechanical, electrical, or software.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Liaison between internal customers and CTSE to manage Expert On Call service tickets/work packages.
• Prioritize and delegate work to the CTSE customer support team including engineers and technicians.
• Report highly critical tickets/work packages status to senior leadership through daily status meetings/email.
• Lead project technical execution and maintain performance metrics for decision making in an Agile project management environment.
• Utilize Agile tools to manage projects and generate metrics for presentations and to project future performance.
• Manage project scope ensuring it meets commitments.
• Generate and maintain project schedules with dependencies and critical path.
• Use Earned Value methods for managing project budget/schedule when needed.
• Ensure project meets quality expectations.
• Identify risks and resolve them through proactive ownership.
• Prepare presentations reporting project status to leadership.
• Develop engineering estimates and proposals for potential projects and gain buy-in.
