Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Test Director to support Aegis Combat System Integration Testing for DDG-51 class ships as part of the AMT – San Diego. You will plan, schedule, and direct testing across multiple locations, providing expert guidance on procedures and equipment changes to ensure successful modernization efforts.

Qualifications

• Ability to anticipate, identify, mitigate and solve problems in critical path production and testing.
• Experience in functional testing and operations of the AEGIS Weapon System.
• Approximately 50% travel required (may include international travel).
• Occasional shift work may be required.
• Provide field support on military vessels for several consecutive days while at sea.
• Work on Naval Vessels, in-port and underway; able to endure confined spaces, ladders and stairs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Project, Excel, PPT, Word).
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for access to classified information.

Responsibilities

• Plan and arrange labor, schedules, and equipment for testing.
• Define test area parameters and tests to be performed.
• Compile data and specify changes to testing equipment or procedures.
• Develop integrated test schedules for ships undergoing Modernization.
• Provide testing expertise to Navy and government personnel.
• Schedule and ensure availability of test equipment for all warfare areas.
• Review test procedures and document results in final test reports or mandated formats.
• Guide ship's force and government personnel in testing procedures and techniques.
• Lead test programs and coordinate with management and contractors.
