Job summary

Lockheed Martin in San Diego is seeking a Weapons System Engineer to ensure the AEGIS Weapons Control System equipment and interfaces are operational and available on Navy ships. This role requires close coordination with test teams and engineering leads to sustain mission-critical capabilities.

Qualified candidates will have a BS in Electrical Engineering or related field, be willing to travel up to 50%, and possess an active DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance; US citizenship required.

Qualifications

• BS in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field or applicable experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all AEGIS Weapons Control System equipment and interfaces are operational and available.
• Ensure the FCS element and related equipment suites are operational, configured, and data extractable for testing.
• Coordinate with the AWS Engineer Lead, Availability Project Engineer, Test Coordinator, and Test Director on WCS test matters.
• Must hold an active DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance; US Citizenship required.
