Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking an experienced Advanced Pharmacy Technician to perform sterile compounding for the Aston Infusion Clinic and Ambulatory Infusion under USP 797/800 standards. This on-site role requires a strong foundation in sterile preparation, drug safety, and teamwork within a busy hospital pharmacy.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma, at least four years as a pharmacy technician, two years in a specialized area, and Texas State Board of Pharmacy

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 4 years of experience as a pharmacy technician with 2 years in a specialized area.
• Licenses: Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist Intern; Sterile Compounding (IV) certification; BLS.
• Experience with sterile compounding and knowledge of USP 797/800 standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced pharmacy technician duties in sterile compounding for infusion clinics.
• Coordinates daily workflow and provides guidance to other technicians.
• Maintains compliance with state/federal regulations and internal policies.
• Handles medication safety, inventory management, and documentation.
