Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years library leadership experience; 2 years supervisory experience.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: MLS/Information Studies or related field; strong customer service and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Main Library Access Services Department and 22 staff.
• Serve as Manager-on-Duty for Main Library; coordinate safety and facilities.
• Collaborate with department leaders to launch and grow services for diverse urban population.
• Pilot new service models and technology initiatives for Uptown Charlotte.
• Manage volunteers, trainings, and scheduling; report on volunteer data.
