Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of customer service experience including library or retail.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Promote the library’s collection and services
• Perform circulation activities
• Provide service desk coverage
• Sort and place materials in appropriate bins for transfer
• Provides research assistance to customers
• Utilize integrated library systems software (Polaris)
• Assist customers at service points
• Assist customers with account-related questions, including library cards, holds, renewals, and account updates
• Assist customers with computers, printers, copiers, and other library technology
• Train and assist customers with library policies, procedures, and processes
• Assist programming staff with outreach, in reach or special programs as needed
• Perform shelving and weeding duties
