Job summary

Charlotte Mecklenburg Library is seeking a Library IT Project Manager to join a small, collaborative team responsible for enterprise-wide technology systems across the Library. The role supports Main Library tech spaces, audio/visual systems, and customer-facing technology, with occasional evening/weekend duties.

Success requires strong collaboration, communication, and project management skills, plus coordination with Mecklenburg County IT and external partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in project management or as a project coordinator.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management or related field.
• Project Management Certification and valid North Carolina or South Carolina driver's license.

Responsibilities

• System administration of enterprise-wide applications to ensure reliable technology services.
• Coordinate support from Mecklenburg County ITS for library technology projects.
• Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations and monitors service-level compliance.
• Contribute regular reports and statistics of enterprise systems and initiatives.
• Performs ongoing needs assessments of library technology to inform future systems.
