Job summary

Charlotte Mecklenburg Library is seeking a Library IT Project Manager to lead enterprise-wide technology initiatives and support a range of library systems. The role involves coordinating with Mecklenburg County ITS and other partners, managing vendors, and ensuring timely project delivery.

The position focuses on supporting the new Main Library and ImaginOn, with eventual on-site duties at the Library Admin Center and Main Library locations in Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in project management or as a project coordinator.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management or related field.
• Project Management Certification and a valid driver’s license are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Systemadministration of enterprise-wide applications to ensure reliable technology services.
• Coordinate support from Mecklenburg County ITS for library technology projects.
• Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations and monitors service-level compliance.
• Contribute regular reports and statistics of enterprise systems and initiatives.
• Establish project team leadership and allocate resources for project(s).
• Direct the design, development and maintenance of systems to meet library needs.
