Job summary

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking an LCMS Sales Specialist II in San Francisco, CA to promote and grow sales of Shimadzu's LCMS portfolio. You will act as a consultative sales expert, owning a defined territory and collaborating with regional sales engineers to drive year-over-year growth.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field, 3+ years LCMS lab experience, and 3+ years of capital equipment sales with strong CRM skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience with LCMS instrumentation.
• At least 3 years of successful capital equipment sales experience is required.
• Two or more years of B2B direct sales experience in capital equipment sales preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude with LCMS instrumentation and scientific workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and drive growth through sales strategies.
• Proficiency with CRM systems for pipeline management and forecasting.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively within territory.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize new client opportunities; manage and grow existing accounts.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects.
• Provide consultative support and product guidance to customers.
• Deliver technical presentations and represent Shimadzu at trade shows and industry events.
• Coordinate with field application specialists and lab teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Generate quotes, negotiate terms, and manage the closing process.
