Job summary

Creative Solutions Services, LLC seeks a mass spectrometry scientist (LC-MS) in Thousand Oaks, CA, for a 12-month contract. You will analyze proteins, peptides, and glycans, map modifications, and generate data with RPLC-MS and native-MS techniques to support early discovery and later-stage optimization.

The role requires 2+ years of biopharma analytical chemistry experience, strong MS data handling, and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or equivalent in analytical chemistry or biochemistry.
• Experience in biopharmaceutical analytical chemistry and protein analysis.
• Strong MS-based analytical skills and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct protein, peptide, and glycan analysis and characterization using LC-MS techniques.
• Perform auto-digestion and peptide mapping and report findings to teams.
• Generate and communicate MS data to support early discovery and later-stage optimization.
• Work with intact and subunit protein mass analysis using RPLC-MS.
• Handle large LC-MS data sets and maintain accurate ELN records.
• Present results clearly and work independently to meet deadlines.
• Follow established protocols and maintain accurate lab notebook entries.
