Job summary

Baker Donelson is seeking an IT Support Specialist for its Baton Rouge, LA office. The role requires customer-service orientation and proactive issue resolution to maximize efficient use of computing resources.

Responsibilities include acting as second-level support, supporting applications and hardware, troubleshooting locally and firm-wide, and providing just-in-time desk-side training to attorneys and staff. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of user support experience; law firm experience preferred.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Office, Windows, and other core legal applications.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Technical certifications such as A+ and MCP are a plus.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment and work independently or in a team.
• Willingness to work extended hours and travel for rollouts or locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-level IT support for users locally and firm-wide.
• Support applications and hardware across the organization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues; document progress and resolutions.
• Provide desk-side training to attorneys and staff.
• Assist in hardware or application updates pilot programs.
• Support meetings and video conferences.
• Maintain visibility and assist during outages.
• Serve as SME on one or more software applications.
• Other duties as required.
