Job summary

Sullivan & Cromwell is seeking a BD Analyst in New York to support business development across Real Estate, Tax, Estates, and other practice areas. You will collaborate with lawyers and Marketing and Communications teams to prepare pitches, manage submissions, and track outreach in the CRM.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, strong writing/editing, and proficiency with Excel, CRM systems, and presentation tools. This is an in-person role in downtown New York.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience at a law firm or financial institution.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading and research abilities.
• Proficient with spreadsheets, databases and presentation tools; familiarity with CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Support partners in preparing targeted presentations (pitch books, RFP responses, deal sheets) and communicate the Firm's experience.
• Assist with submissions to league tables, directories, guides and surveys.
• Coordinate competitive intelligence research to update lawyers on market trends.
• Monitor Firm news, wins and update the practice experience database and CRM.
• Complete production tasks (editing, proofreading) to ensure accurate, on-time materials.
• Coordinate content for internal/external marketing conferences and events with the Events team.
• Maintain records of pitches, meetings and outreach in the CRM system.
• Collaborate with global staff to keep marketing materials updated.
• Coordinate with Communications and Digital Marketing on visibility programs and external site bios.
