Contact Government Services, LLC (CGS) is seeking a Law Clerk I to support the legal mission of a large federal agency. The role involves litigation support tasks such as cite checking, document review, legal research, and drafting of legal documents.

Qualifications

Requires JD or current ABA-accredited law student with at least one year of study or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of federal and state court systems and research procedures.
Proficient with major research tools such as Lexis and Westlaw.
Experience with cite checking and bluebook formatting.
Ability to manage complex research under pressure.

Responsibilities

Perform complex legal research for trial staff.
Prepare draft motions, briefs, and memoranda of law.
Review ROI materials and pertinent cases for research.
Edit and review cases and draft statements of facts.
Support attorneys through all phases of litigation.
Conduct cite checking using Westlaw and Lexis and ensure bluebook compliance.
