Contact-Government-Services, LLC (CGS) seeks a Law Clerk I to support the legal mission of a large federal agency in Arlington, VA. The role focuses on litigation support, including citе checking, document review, and legal research.

Candidates should have a JD or be a law student with strong knowledge of federal/state courts and legal research tools like Westlaw and Lexis. Relativity experience is preferred; active clearance is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires JD or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school with at least one year completed.
• Strong working knowledge of federal and state court systems and legal research procedures.
• Proficiency with legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw; blue book experience expected.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex legal research for the trial staff.
• Assists in preparing draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, and memoranda of law.
• Cite checking via online legal research tools (Westlaw and Lexis) and blue book.
• Assists attorneys with all phases of litigation.
• Reviews and researches ROI (Release of Information) and reviews new cases.
