Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia is seeking a Laundry Manager to join our pre-opening team. You will lead all laundry, linen and uniform operations, ensuring exceptional quality and timely service for guest garments and hotel linens.

Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, you will recruit and develop the laundry team, establish workflows, monitor inventories, and maintain safety and hygiene standards across the operation as the resort prepares to welcome

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive laundry experience in a hotel or commercial-laundry environment, with supervision or management responsibility.
• Luxury-hospitality experience is preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish required; working proficiency in English is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operation of Laundry, Linen and Uniform areas (washing, drying, pressing, finishing, storage, distribution).
• Oversee pre-opening activities: SOPs, workflows, inventory organization.
• Recruit, train, coach and develop the laundry team, fostering a positive, accountable work environment.
• Ensure guest laundry and dry-cleaning services are accurate and timely.
• Maintain rigorous quality control for guest and F&B linens, and employee uniforms.
• Manage Uniform Room operations, inventory, and cleaning/repair processes.
• Monitor washing formulas, chemical use, inventory levels and waste minimization.
• Collaborate with Engineering to coordinate preventive maintenance and ensure safety.

About the Role

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia is seeking a Laundry Manager to join our pre-opening team. Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, this position will lead all laundry, linen and uniform operations, ensuring exceptional quality, timely service, operational efficiency and the highest standards of care for guest garments, hotel linens and employee uniforms.

What You Will Do

• Lead the daily operation of the Laundry, Linen and Uniform areas, including washing, drying, pressing, folding, finishing, storage and distribution.
• Participate in pre-opening activities, including equipment testing and commissioning, development of standard operating procedures, establishment of workflows and organization of linen and uniform inventories.
• Recruit, train, schedule, coach and develop the Laundry team, creating a positive work environment built on teamwork, accountability and the Golden Rule.
• Ensure that guest laundry and dry-cleaning services are processed accurately and returned within the promised timeframe and according to Four Seasons quality standards.
• Maintain rigorous quality control for guest laundry, rooms linen, Food and Beverage linen, spa linen and employee uniforms.
• Manage the Uniform Room, ensuring the proper issuance, collection, cleaning, pressing, alteration, repair and storage of employee uniforms.
• Maintain accurate linen and uniform inventories, monitor par levels, losses, damage and replacement needs, and conduct regular inventory counts.
• Establish and monitor appropriate washing formulas according to fabric type, stain classification and manufacturer recommendations.
• Control the use and inventory of laundry chemicals, operating supplies and consumable products, ensuring correct dosage, safe handling and minimal waste.
• Monitor productivity, labor costs, chemical consumption, utilities, guest-laundry revenue and other departmental expenses while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and equipment repairs with the Engineering team to minimize downtime and maintain a safe and reliable operation.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements, chemical-handling procedures, sanitation standards and Four Seasons policies.
• Respond to guest concerns and operational issues promptly, professionally and with genuine care.
• Collaborate closely with Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, Spa, Front Office, Engineering, Finance and People and Culture to support seamless resort operations.

What You Bring

• A minimum of three years of progressive laundry experience within a hotel or commercial-laundry environment, including previous supervisory or management responsibility. Luxury-hospitality experience is preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial laundry equipment, washing processes, fabric care, stain removal, chemicals, linen control and uniform-room operations.
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to train, motivate and organize a high-performing operational team.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability and experience managing productivity, inventories and departmental costs.
• Fluency in Spanish is required; working proficiency in English and familiarity with laundry-management or work-order systems are preferred.

Schedule & Hours

• This is a full-time position.
• The successful candidate must be flexible to work early mornings, days, evenings, weekends and public holidays based on operational needs.
• As the resort operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, scheduled days and hours may vary.
