Job summary

JGS Leavitt Family Jewish Home is seeking a part-time Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. Shifts include 7:00AM–3:00PM, 5:00PM–11:00PM, with weekend and holiday rotations.

Must be 18+, with prior housekeeping experience preferred and fluent English communication. Responsibilities include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, laundry, waste removal, and safe handling of cleaning products.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience in housekeeping or senior living preferred.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in resident rooms and common areas.
• Perform daily housekeeping tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, laundry, and waste removal.
• Use cleaning products and equipment safely and according to facility policies.
• Interact with residents in a respectful, courteous manner, supporting their comfort and dignity.
• Report maintenance needs, safety hazards, or unusual resident concerns to supervisors.

• Perform daily housekeeping tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, laundry, and waste removal.
• Use cleaning products and equipment safely and according to facility policies and manufacturer guidelines.
• Interact with residents in a respectful, courteous, and compassionate manner, supporting their comfort and dignity.
• Report maintenance needs, safety hazards, or unusual resident concerns promptly to supervisors.
• Comply with all safety regulations, confidentiality requirements, and community policies.

Qualifications For Success

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Experience in housekeeping or senior living preferred
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written
