Job summary

JGS Lifecare is hiring a Floor Care Technician at JGS Leavitt Family Jewish Home in Longmeadow, MA. The role runs part-time from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM with weekend and holiday rotations.

The technician will perform routine floor care, maintain clean and safe floors, operate floor-care equipment, and coordinate activities around residents and staff to ensure a comfortable environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in housekeeping/laundry in a healthcare or senior living setting preferred.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written

Responsibilities

• Perform routine floor care, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing, stripping, and waxing floors throughout the long-term care facility.
• Clean and disinfect floors and high-traffic areas according to infection-control and facility safety standards.
• Operate and maintain floor-care equipment and promptly report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
• Coordinate cleaning activities around residents, staff, meals, and scheduled activities to maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
