Job summary

Yona Solutions in Michigan is seeking a Laundry Aide to join our team. Experience is not required, but preferred, as you will learn on the job handling linen, operating washing/drying equipment, and keeping an orderly laundry area.

You will provide friendly service to residents and staff, follow safety procedures, maintain records, and help with stock management. This is a hands-on role that supports a clean, comfortable environment for our community.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning cleaning compounds and disinfectants.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Possess flexibility, integrity and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively with residents and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Transports laundry containers of soiled and clean linen.
• Operates commercial washing machines and dryers.
• Sorts and loads linen into washers and folds/delivers linen.
• Keeps accurate records of linen inventory.
• Washes, dries, folds and distributes customer clothing.
• Maintains equipment and laundry areas in a neat, safe condition.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs.
• Delivers laundry as specified.
• Puts Customer Service First: ensures high-quality service in a caring atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts
• Operates commercial washing machines and dryers
• Sorts and loads soiled linen into washers and loads clean, wet linens into dryers
• Proceeds to fold clean, dry linen and place into clean carts
• Keeps accurate records of linen inventory
• Washes, dries, folds and distributes customer clothing
• Maintains equipment and the laundry areas, cleans and keeps areas in a neat orderly and safe manner
• Follows all company policies and procedures
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs
• Delivers laundry as specified
• Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual's needs and rights

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc
• Ability to work independently
• Possess flexibility, integrity, and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively with the residents and personnel
• Must provide a criminal background check
• Laundry experience is a plus
