Yona Solutions in Fort Smith, Arkansas is seeking a Laundry Aide to join our team. No prior experience required, but preferred; you will assist with laundering and distribution of linen for residents and staff.

You will follow safety procedures, maintain clean and organized work areas, and contribute to a caring, supportive environment for residents and coworkers.

Qualifications

• Must provide a criminal background check.
• Laundry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transport containers of soiled and clean linen using carts.
• Operate commercial washing machines and dryers.
• Sort and load linen into washers and dryers accordingly.
• Fold, dry, and distribute clean linen and customer clothing.
• Maintain linen inventory records.
• Keep laundry areas clean and safe.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Monitor stock levels and notify supervisor of needs.
• Deliver laundry as specified.
• Provide courteous, compassionate service to residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts
• Operates commercial washing machines and dryers
• Sorts and loads soiled linen into washers and loads clean, wet linens into dryers
• Proceeds to fold clean, dry linen and place into clean carts
• Keeps accurate records of linen inventory
• Washes, dries, folds and distributes customer clothing
• Maintains equipment and the laundry areas, cleans and keeps areas in a neat orderly and safe manner
• Follows all company policies and procedures
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs
• Delivers laundry as specified
• Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual's needs and rights

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc
• Ability to work independently
• Possess flexibility, integrity, and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively with the residents and personnel
• Must provide a criminal background check
• Laundry experience is a plus
