Job summary

Yona Solutions in Minnesota is seeking a Laundry Aide to join our team and help provide a clean, comfortable environment for residents and staff. Experience is not required but preferred, and you will operate washing machines, sort and load linens, and maintain the laundry area with careful attention to safety and cleanliness.

You will follow instructions, work independently, and support respectful, compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning cleaning compounds and solutions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Transport laundry containers and carts of linen.
• Operate commercial washing machines and dryers.
• Sort, load, and unload linens; fold and distribute clean linen.
• Maintain equipment and laundry areas in a neat, safe condition.
• Keep accurate linen inventory records and report supply needs.

Responsibilities:

• Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts
• Operates commercial washing machines and dryers
• Sorts and loads soiled linen into washers and loads clean, wet linens into dryers
• Proceeds to fold clean, dry linen and place into clean carts
• Keeps accurate records of linen inventory
• Washes, dries, folds and distributes customer clothing
• Maintains equipment and the laundry areas, cleans and keeps areas in a neat orderly and safe manner
• Follows all company policies and procedures
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs
• Delivers laundry as specified
• Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual's needs and rights

Requirements:

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc
• Ability to work independently
• Possess flexibility, integrity, and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively with the residents and personnel
• Must provide a criminal background check
• Laundry experience is a plus
