Job summary

Yona Solutions in Center Line, MI is seeking a Laundry Aide to support a clean, comfortable living environment for residents. You will transport, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, and maintain laundry areas, while delivering warm, friendly service to residents, visitors, and coworkers.

No prior experience required but preferred; you must follow written and oral instructions, work independently, and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning mixing of cleaning compounds and disinfectants.
• Ability to work independently and safely in a healthcare environment.
• Demonstrates flexibility, integrity, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively with residents and staff.
• A criminal background check is required.

Responsibilities

• Transports laundry containers of soiled and clean linen.
• Operates commercial washing machines and dryers.
• Sorts, loads, and unloads laundry machines and dryers.
• Folds and distributes clean linen to carts.
• Keeps accurate records of linen inventory.
• Washes, dries, folds, and distributes customer clothing as needed.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of laundry areas and equipment.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs.
• Delivers laundry to designated locations.

Responsibilities:

• Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts
• Operates commercial washing machines and dryers
• Sorts and loads soiled linen into washers and loads clean, wet linens into dryers
• Proceeds to fold clean, dry linen and place into clean carts
• Keeps accurate records of linen inventory
• Washes, dries, folds and distributes customer clothing
• Maintains equipment and the laundry areas, cleans and keeps areas in a neat orderly and safe manner
• Follows all company policies and procedures
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs
• Delivers laundry as specified
• Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual's needs and rights

Requirements:

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc
• Ability to work independently
• Possess flexibility, integrity, and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively with the residents and personnel
• Must provide a criminal background check
• Laundry experience is a plus
