Job summary

West Coast Convenience is seeking an Assistant Team Leader to support the Team Leader in daily store operations across our California locations. You will coach staff, manage scheduling, and ensure accurate cash handling while maintaining high standards of customer service.

This hands-on leadership role requires reliable, team-oriented individuals with strong math and communication skills who can multitask in a fast-paced environment, including nights and weekends, and grow into a full Team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6–9 months of assistant manager or related experience.
• Strong math, English communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable transportation and flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Retail, convenience, food service, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and grow into a Team Leader role.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach team members.
• Provide coaching to drive performance.
• Promote a positive team environment.
• Lead the store in the Team Leader's absence.
• Support daily operations for smooth execution.
• Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and coverage.
• Handle cash, reports, and store paperwork.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues.

• Monitor inventory and shrink; maintain presentation.
• Drive sales through promotions and merchandising standards.
• Deliver exceptional customer service on every shift.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
