Job summary

West Coast Convenience is seeking an Assistant Team Leader to support the Team Leader in daily store operations and to coach the team for a high-quality customer experience. This hands-on role includes leading in the Team Leader's absence and ensuring operational excellence.

You will engage in coaching, scheduling, cash handling, and merchandising tasks while maintaining safety standards and a welcoming environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6–9 months of assistant manager or related experience.
• Strong math, English communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable transportation and flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Retail, convenience, food service, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and grow into a Team Leader role.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach team members, and support the Team Leader in store operations.
• Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and coverage to ensure daily execution.
• Handle cash, reports, and store paperwork accurately.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and maintain a clean, welcoming store.
• Support ordering, stocking, merchandising, and inventory management.
• Deliver exceptional customer service on every shift and resolve concerns quickly.
• Follow policies, safety standards, and maintain a safe environment.
