Job summary

West Coast Convenience is seeking an Assistant Team Leader to support the Team Leader in daily store operations, coach the team, and ensure a consistent, high-quality customer experience.

This hands-on role involves leading by example, assisting with scheduling, cash handling, and merchandising, and stepping in as acting store leader when needed.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and 6–9 months of related supervisory experience, plus strong math and communication skills and flexibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6–9 months of assistant manager or related experience.
• Strong math, English communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Retail, convenience, food service, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Support the Team Leader in all store operations and leadership.
• Coaching and developing team members to drive performance.
• Lead the store in the Team Leader's absence.
• Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and coverage.
• Ensure accurate cash handling, reports, and paperwork.
• Monitor inventory, merchandising, and promotional standards.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve concerns.
• Maintain safety and compliance with company policies.
