Job summary

West Coast Convenience is seeking an Assistant Team Leader to support the Team Leader in all store operations and deliver a consistent, high‑quality customer experience. This hands‑on role involves coaching the team, problem‑solving, and daily execution to meet company standards.

You will also step in for the Team Leader when needed. The position requires 6–9 months of related experience, strong math and communication skills, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6–9 months of assistant manager or related experience.
• Strong math, English communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Team‑oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Reliable transportation and flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Retail, convenience, food service, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and grow into a Team Leader role.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store in the Team Leader’s absence.
• Help train and coach team members.
• Provide coaching and support to drive performance.
• Promote a positive team environment.
• Support daily operations for smooth, consistent execution.
• Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and coverage.
• Handle cash, reports, and store paperwork accurately.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
• Support ordering, stocking, and merchandising.
• Monitor inventory, reduce shrink, and maintain presentation.
• Drive sales through promotions and merchandising standards.
• Track performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Deliver exceptional customer service on every shift.
