Job summary

West Coast Convenience is hiring an Assistant Team Leader to support the Team Leader in daily store operations across our California locations. You will coach team members, manage tasks, and ensure a high-quality customer experience on every shift.

In this hands-on role, you’ll lead during the Team Leader’s absence, help with scheduling, cash handling, and merchandising, while upholding safety and company standards. A strong, service-driven mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6–9 months of assistant manager or related experience.
• Strong math, English communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable transportation and flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Retail or supervisory experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and grow into a Team Leader role.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach team members; support Team Leader.
• Provide coaching and drive performance; promote positive team environment.
• Lead store in Team Leader’s absence.
• Support daily operations for smooth execution.
• Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and coverage.
• Handle cash, reports, and store paperwork accurately.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
• Drive sales through promotions and merchandising standards.
• Deliver exceptional customer service on every shift.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
• Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming store.
• Follow policies, safety standards; maintain safe environment.
