Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to drive new product assembly launches in Walker, MI. You will design efficient production processes, manage suppliers, and guide projects from quoting to production.

You will also review tooling, system layouts, and weld documentation while ensuring plant readiness and adherence to timelines. Strong CAD, GD&T, and project management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or related field with relevant industry experience.
• Experience with automated assembly, welding, and BIW processes.
• Strong CAD skills and project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead product launch from quoting to production with suppliers/integrators.
• Design and improve manufacturing processes, flow, and equipment.
• Maintain schedules, track progress, and ensure plant readiness.
• Review tooling designs, layouts, and weld documentation.
• Provide weekly progress updates to Program team.
