Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing seeks a Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to drive new product launches, developing cost-efficient manufacturing processes and validating equipment to meet quality specs. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage suppliers, and oversee quoting through production launches.

The role requires hands-on design of production lines, tooling, and weld processes, with strong GD&T, AutoCAD, and robotics knowledge. Domestic travel to multiple plants may be required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in engineering or related field, or 2-year degree with 4+ years in industry.
• Strong knowledge of automated assembly processes and BIW concepts.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication and welding processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage suppliers/integrators to keep projects on schedule and equipment compliant with standards.
• Design and develop manufacturing processes, flow, assembly methods and equipment.
• Lead launch activities from quoting to production and drive timelines.
• Review tooling designs, layouts, control schemes, and weld documentation.
• Collaborate with program teams, provide weekly progress updates, ensure plant readiness.
