Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing seeks an Advanced Quality Engineer to guide quality launch activities and ensure APQP/PPAP compliance for new programs. You’ll collaborate with Program Managers and Launch teams, approve dimensional data, and secure supplier and plant readiness for a successful start of production.

Qualifications

BS degree from an accredited college or university.
5+ years related quality engineering experience.
GD&T knowledge and dimensional data interpretation.
Strong knowledge of AIAG, APQP and PPAP requirements.
Ability to analyze and interpret customer requirements.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Handles all quality related launch activities and acts as the voice for internal and external customers.
Prepares APQP and PPAP documentation for product in launch.
Works with Quality and Engineering on new programs to verify customer requirements.
Develops Control Plans and supports FMEAs to impact tooling designs.
Supports fixture and gage requirements and reviews.
Participates in tool runoffs and Safe Launch activities.
