Job summary

WilmerHale is a leading international law firm hiring a Manager, Lateral Recruitment to oversee domestic non-partner attorney onboarding across US offices. You will shape hiring strategies, manage searches, and ensure an exceptional candidate experience, working with the Legal Recruitment and Legal Personnel & Development teams.

The role requires at least five years in law-firm recruiting, a bachelor’s degree, and the ability to collaborate with partners and departments to deliver high-quality

Qualifications

• Five years of recruiting experience in law firms.
• J.D. with at least 3 years as a practicing lawyer at a large law firm will be considered.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems (LawCruit preferred).

Responsibilities

• Manages the start-to-end recruitment process for lateral attorney recruitment.
• Maintains recruitment records and metrics, including agency spending.
• Partners with Director, Legal Recruitment to deliver quality hires.
• Coordinates direct outreach via LinkedIn, social media and job boards.
• Coordinates with search firms and communicates hiring needs.
• Liaises with internal firm functions to ensure onboarding.
• Reviews resumes, coordinates interviews, assesses evaluations, negotiates offers.
• Collaborates with departments to manage orientation and onboarding.
• Supports hiring lawyers through conflicts, due diligence, and related processes.
• Supervises recruiting team members, sets objectives, and mentors.
