Telnyx is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer for our LATAM team, focusing on São Paulo. Qualifications

• CS degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years building software or doing technical consulting.
• Proficiency in Python, Node.js, and Go.
• Hands-on experience running LiteLLM or a comparable LLM gateway in production.
• Experience deploying containerized services on Kubernetes and cloud-native environments.
• Professional fluency in Spanish or Portuguese and English for collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Embed with enterprise customers to understand workflows and integration challenges.
• Build and deploy AI voice assistants, Telnyx APIs, and WebRTC integrations.
• Deploy and operate open-weight LLMs in customer-controlled environments (cloud, on-prem, air-gapped).
• Lead POCs, pilots, and production launches from whiteboard to go-live.
• Create technical documentation, runbooks, and handoff materials in English and Spanish/Portuguese.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to shape LATAM roadmap.
• Travel 10–30% across Latin America.
