Job summary

Telnyx is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with enterprise customers and architect production systems on Telnyx’s global network, including voice, messaging, AI, and wireless. You will ship real solutions, not demos, and own outcomes from POC to production go-live.

The role requires a CS degree or equivalent, 3+ years building software or consulting, and proficiency in Python, Node.js, and Go. Travel to customer sites (10–30%) is expected, with strong API fluency and cloud-native

Qualifications

• 3+ years building software or providing technical consulting.
• Proficiency in Python, Node.js and Go.
• Strong API fluency and cloud-native instincts.
• Exposure to SIP or WebRTC or real-time voice/messaging systems.
• Able to translate issues into root cause and actionable steps.

Responsibilities

• Embed with enterprise customers to understand communications workflows and integration challenges.
• Build and deploy custom implementations: AI voice assistants, Telnyx APIs, WebRTC.
• Lead POCs, pilots, and production launches from whiteboard to go-live.
• Own customer outcomes—stay engaged until the solution is live and stable.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to shape the roadmap from field insights.
• Create technical documentation, runbooks, and handoff materials.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues with customer teams.
